Verona - we've arrived!
We set off this morning in 20 degree rain, set the sat nav to Verona and arrive 3 hours later in 35 degrees with very blue skies.

Stuttgart and on to the Tirol.
Started the day here -
The Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart. Our driver for the day - TP - made himself at home on the Mercedes coach we acquired for the day ;-)
Seriously though, if you are in the area it is a MUST DO.
Link to the museum's website - worth a visit too!
If you've got a MB Members Club card - remember to show it when buying tickets - the discount is well worth it!
After lunch we headed south down the autobahn to Innsbruck. It was 35 degrees when we set off, but as we climbed into the Alps the temperature dropped along with the rain - lots of it. We were also 'treated' to a magnificent thunder storm that echoed around the mountains. We're still getting the occasional flash of lightening now - three hours later!
The penthouse didn't turn out to be a hayloft - it's a basement flat!!!!
Off to Italy in the morning - Verona for 5 days then on to Stresa (with the Ferrari test track somewhere in the middle).
MMP and JP
Now where did I put that kitchen sink?
Space at a premium, but we're getting used to travelling light - honestly (note bottle of Chimay that sneaked into the boot, can't imagine how that happened).

Stuttgart
We've made it to Stuttgart - long drive and JP had to be dragged from Chimay!
TP happy now that food portions are 'German sized' - so we celebrated with Wurst and chips (very large) in a service station on the autobahn.
We're off to the Mercedes museum in the morning followed by a drive to Igls in Austria where we're booked in to the penthouse suite of a hotel there - that probably means hayloft, but we could be pleasantly surprised.

A small one to help digestion at lunch!
A few for later :-)
